When I first started out as a professional photographer, I was a Wedding Photographer. Over time, I steered away from Weddings, focusing on family photography while we my partner and I navigated the world of IVF and the journey that would take. In 2025 I've decided to return to the world of weddings offering a limited number weddings for the 2025 season.
As a part of this decision, I was struck by the cost of wedding photography, the state of the economy, the cost of living crisis and by the belief that all couples deserve beautiful images from their special day.
To make this a reality for couples I have tailored two wedding packages. A minimalist option that provides high quality images at an affordable price point, and a full service, bells and whistles option that gives you all the elements of a top tier photography solution. The details for each are outlined below.

The Minimalist - $1,750 plus GST
What’s included:
- 3 hours of Photography (to capture what you choose to have captured e.g. ceremony and bridal photos or bridal photos and reception etc etc)
- Approximately 250 minimally edited photos
- Travel within 45 minutes of central Auckland
- Edited photos supplied by online gallery
The Bells and Whistle - $4,000 plus GST
What's included:
- 10 hours of Coverage (Preparation + Ceremony + Group + Bridal Photos + Reception Photos + Part of the Reception)
- Premium edit across your "Album Shots" (these are the best art pieces from the day) - Approximately 140 photos
- One 20 page hard back 10 x 10 album
- High grade edit across on the remaining images (approximately 400 images)
Travel prices may apply if outside of the great Auckland area or on Waiheke.

This Mother's Day is super special for me this year as it's my very first Mother's Day as a mum to a beautiful wee rainbow baby.
Our journey to parenthood wasn't an easy one, it took 6 years and three rounds of IVF to finally meet our science baby and it's made me all the more conscious of how important it is to capture memories with her where I'm also in the picture.

I found this little gem when I was looking back over some older shoots and had to share it.
When creating a collection for families you have to choose which pictures to keep and which to cull. You don't always get it right. Sometimes you discard a photo for some small imperfection and lose out on sharing a photo like this one, one that is full of character and authenticity. I mean just look at that little face!

But for photographers like me whose goal is to capture the essence of feeling, vulnerability is about opening oneself up in order to connect. Connect with the moment, connect with the people around you and to connect with what you're photographing. Vulnerability is also letting yourself be in front of the camera and bravely having those intimate moments captured on film. Vulnerability isn’t easy, but for memories like this, it’s so worth it..

What if my child misbehaves through the whole shoot? Does this sound familiar?
This is pretty much the number one concern parents have when booking a family shoot with me and I get it. One of things I love the most about working with children is just how uninhibited they are. They know what they want and aren't afraid to stand their ground to get it. Sometimes this can seem challenging and parents worry that their kids won’t listen or take direction.
Some children love direction and respond really well to being guided and other children work best when a photographer gets on their wavelength and works with their energy levels. If that means following them around the beach while they point out all the cool shells they can find instead of sitting on mums lap, then I’m all good with that. There are different strategies for different personalities, and part of being a photographer is reading those differences and responding to what works best. Please don’t let those worries get in the way of getting some really lovely family photographs that showcase just who you are as a family!
